In the current hot Internet and new energy, the traditional textile and chemical industries have become areas that are easily ignored by the public.

my country's silk was once famous all over the world, and China was named "Silk Country" because of this. Until now, my country has a strong competitiveness in the global textile field.

In terms of natural raw materials, Xinjiang's cotton production ranks first in the world; in the textile sector, there are not only Hengli Group, Weiqiao Group, but also Shenghong Group in China. All three are Fortune Global 500 companies.

Among them, Shenghong Group ranked among the Fortune Global 500 for the first time in 2020 with 27.8 billion U.S. dollars (approximately RMB 182.4 billion) in revenue.

Shenghong Group is a very large enterprise. In the field of printing and dyeing, it has a printing and dyeing capacity of more than 2.4 billion meters a year, and can circle the earth 60 times; in the field of chemical fiber, its annual output reaches 2.3 million tons; in the field of energy, it has the same capacity as Shandong Like Weiqiao Group, it has achieved self-sufficiency by using thermal power generation.

Sheng Hong has grown from a small village-run textile factory to one of the world's top 500 companies. The most important figure is his head, Miao Hangen. He is one of the most mysterious businessmen in our country. Although rich, he is extremely low-key.

Back in the 1980s, Miao Hangen, who failed the college entrance examination, was in a state of frustration and confusion about the future. However, the village-run factory of Shenghong Village took a fancy to his high school degree and invited him to work.

This is also a turning point in Mu Hangen's life.

With his extraordinary talent, he was quickly appreciated by the leaders and served as the director of the Shenghong Sand Washing Factory established in the 1990s, mainly engaged in the printing and dyeing business. Although the scale of the sand washing plant is small, as the plant manager, Miao Hangen’s commercial talent has been reflected to the greatest extent.

Looking back now, Mu Hangen's first battle was to monopolize the production equipment of "Palm Flower". The so-called "palm flower" is a pattern similar to the palm of the hand on the cloth. At that time, there were only three equipment capable of producing this kind of design in the whole country.

There are only three, and others have not realized the potential of "Palm Flower". This allowed Mu Hangen to see an opportunity for monopoly, so he spent huge sums of money to buy three pieces of equipment. This series of actions directly allowed the sand washing plant to earn money that similar companies could not make in several years in just a few months. This is also the first pot of gold for the sand washing plant.

Like many companies' development and growth, Sheng Hong is also taking the path of extension of mergers and acquisitions. That year, Sheng Hong, who had completed the reform of private ownership, began a strategy of mergers and acquisitions under the leadership of Miao Hangen.

This strategy was chosen because of the 1997 Asian financial turmoil, when many companies fell into business difficulties that year, making Sheng Hong's mergers and acquisitions easier.

According to the information, Sheng Hong merged with Suzhou Dongfang Printing and Dyeing Factory, Shengze Yonghe Printing and Dyeing Factory, and Tanqiu Printing and Dyeing Factory. So far, Shenghong has rapidly expanded in size and scale.

In addition, Sheng Hong can achieve today's results because it has never given up the printing and dyeing business and has actively deployed the upstream style of the industry chain.

Sheng Hong insisted on printing and dyeing business from the beginning, even though it later expanded other businesses through merger measures, it never gave up printing and dyeing. Today, Sheng Hong prints and dyes 2.4 billion meters per year, which can circle the earth's equator 60 times.

It can be said that Sheng Hong is based on the printing and dyeing business becoming bigger and stronger. In 2003, Sheng Hong moved into a broader market, the chemical fiber field.

As the upstream industry of printing and dyeing in the field of chemical fiber, Sheng Hong's involvement is beneficial to the development of the enterprise. However, there is a problem. The research and development of ultra-fine fibers not only requires huge capital, but also very technically difficult.

Despite the difficulties ahead, Muhangen still decided to invest 2 billion in research and development of 0.5dpf microfiber. Without advanced equipment, the most awkward method is used to research products. After a lot of hard work, we successfully developed products that met the requirements and achieved mass production.

Interestingly, Japan’s Toray soon developed a 0.3dpf superfine fiber, breaking Sheng Hong’s world record and saying that no one would surpass it in the world. The result was quickly beaten by Sheng Hong. Under the leadership of Muhangen, the company produced 0.15dpf microfiber, which defeated Japan's Toray.

In the development process of more than 20 years, Shenghong's business tentacles have been extended to the upstream industry. This is also Miao Hangen's business philosophy: do not go upstream, always do little.

At the beginning of 2021, Miao Hangen appeared on the cover of "Fortune", which is a recognition of his deep cultivation in the textile industry for so many years. For Miao Hangen, even if it is on the cover of Fortune, it is no big deal. He is still low-key and still leads Sheng Hong to move forward.
